May 1 Evening Worship Service

On Saturday, May 1 at 6 pm we will worship together at Cascade Fellowship Christian Church.  This will be a special service as part of our weekend of serving through Feed My Starving Children.  The next day, Sunday, May 2 we will be preparing 125,000 meals for starving children.  For all the details on that event, click here.  The reason we are worshipping at Cascade Fellowship is because Thornapple will be all set up (including the sanctuary) for the serving event on May 2.

The worship service on Saturday, May 1 at 6 pm will include special speaker Mark Labberton.  Dr. Labberton is the Director of the Lloyd John Ogilvie Institute of Preaching at Fuller Seminary. Previously Dr. Labberton was the Senior Pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Berkeley, California. He has served as plenary speaker at numerous conferences including InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and the International Justice Mission.  He is also the author of The Dangerous Act of Worship: Living God’s Call to Justice and The Injustice of the Heart.

In addition to the speaker we will have a time of worship led by Matt Anderson and our Thornapple worship team.

There will be nursery provided up to age 4 at Cascade Fellowship.  The church is located 6655 Cascade Rd., SE (right next to Thornapple).
