The Urban Ministry team of Thornapple Covenant Church is a friend of the Treehouse Ministry and Community Garden.  This ministry was started by a group of young adults with a passion for ministering in their community.  Initially their plans were to create a community garden which was done this past summer. If you would like to learn more about this community you can go to their website at: http://treehousegarden.wordpress.com.

The garden is located at: 1045 Logan St. SE near the intersection of Barth and Logan.

There is a work day coming up when volunteers are needed - May 11. To sign up now to work, click here.

Here are the details:

• Saturday, May 11th from 10am to 3pm - Fence/Arbor Construction & Soil Berm Building - There are a few sections of fence that need to be installed, and we want to build a cool arbor for a new seating area this year. We are hoping to make it look something like the one in the picture below (see link). We will also be building berms in the garden, basically filling a rounded area with twigs, tree mulch, and soil to give it an elevated look instead of just flat land. Heavy labor - but again there will be many other things to do if heavy labor is not easy for someone to do. The Treehouse community garden is on Facebook. To check out their page go to this link: https://www.facebook.com/treehousegarden
