Your financial gifts can be:
Giving exceeded budget again in August and we returned to being above budget year-to-date. Praise God! We are also ahead of last year’s giving by 6.7% for the same period. Thanks so much for your generosity!!
- Made online through our online giving platform
- Mailed to the church office (6595 Cascade Rd. SE; Grand Rapids, MI 49546)
- Given during in-person worship on Sunday mornings

Nursery and Kingdom Kids | 10-11am | 4s-6th grade start in worship with families until they are dismissed around 10:20, parents can pick up children in the Lower Level following worship.
Middle School (7th-8th) | Start in worship with families and are released for large/small group time following the Rock Solid curriculum. The third Sundays of the month, students stay in worship with families for the whole service and communion.
HS Huddle | 6:30-8:30pm
Pine Rest Church Assistance Program
Complimentary counseling (and other programs – just say “I have a CAP with Thornapple Covenant Church” when you call to make an appointment) for you and your family and access to a virtual library of mental health resources (use the password “Thornapple” when prompted). Learn more HERE.
Stephen Ministry
Going through a crisis or having a difficult time? Maybe you could benefit from receiving care in a one-on-one partnership with a trained Stephen Minister. Contact Lynne McLaughlin

- Family Promise Hosting | Save the date for the next hosting week, Nov. 5-12.
- Help with Childcare for MOPS | Typically the first and third Thursdays of each month, 9-11:30am. If you’d like to help for just 1 or 2 dates, sign up here!
- Tech Booth Team | Sunday morning tech booth volunteers needed for on-screen slides, monitoring livestream sound and more (we'd love to add to our sound board volunteers but this requires more extensive training which we can provided to anyone interested in learning) - adults and teens welcome; training provided. Email Kimberly Korpak.
- Love hanging out with babies/toddlers? Children’s Ministry could use your help as a Nursery volunteer on Sunday mornings. Please contact Lisa Udell if you are able to help and she we get you on the schedule!

Events
- Fridays at the Fireside | Oct. 6/13/20, 6:30-9pm. Spend a Friday evening in the Sandstrom's backyard getting to know others from Thornapple, making smores and sharing stories around the campfire. All evenings are weather-permitting. Sign up HERE
- Communion Class for Parents | Oct. 3 at 6pm in The Commons. Pastors Julia and Lynne are offering a parenting conversation about communion and kids. which might be especially helpful for parents of K-5th graders, but all are invited. Please register, especially if you need childcare or have questions/topics you'd like us to address. This gathering will take place during Trailblazers and we will have childcare available for younger children. Register/share questions you'd like addressed HERE.
- Stephen Ministry Training | Mondays, Oct. 2-Nov. 20 (6:00 -9:00 p.m.- Dinner provided) and Saturday, Nov. 4 (Saturday) | Do you have a passion for bringing Christ’s love and care to people during a time of need? Consider becoming a Stephen Minister! Our next 8-week training session starts Oct. 2 and we would love to have those interested join us in this ministry! Following training, you can be partnered with individuals in our congregation who need someone to walk alongside them for a chapter of their lives. - Fall Seminars (Adults) | Sundays, October 15, 22, 29 following worship we will be offering three adult formation seminar options (you attend the same seminar all three weeks). We’re also having light snacks and childcare to make this more accessible to all ages/stages of life. Learn more and sign up HERE.
