Support the ministry and mission of Thornapple through the regular practice of giving generously from the financial resources entrusted to you by God.  
Your financial gifts can be:
  1. Made online through our online giving platform 
  2. Mailed to the church office (6595 Cascade Rd. SE; Grand Rapids, MI 49546)
  3. Placed in the offering box at the Welcome Center

  • 12 Below Luncheon | Are you a family or individual who has been attending Thornapple for 12 months or less? If yes, you and your family are invited to a luncheon with staff and other new attendees this Sunday, Feb. 6 following worship in the Community Center. Learn more and register HERE.

    Volleyball (contact Linda Winer): Second and fourth Tuesdays, 7:30-9pm
    Soccer (contact Peter Ek): First and third Tuesdays, 7:30-9pm
    Pickleball: (Co-ed) Mon/Thurs, 8-10pm; (Women) Fri., 11am-1pm; (Co-ed, competitive) Sat., 8-10am  WholyFit: Fridays, 9:30-10:30am

Groups are reading/studying Max Lucado’s “Unshakeable Hope.”  Groups meet four times/days during the week and welcome new members. Learn more and sign up HERE.

We are accepting applicants for our Teaching Pastor position.

Pine Rest Church Assistance Program  
Complimentary counseling (and other programs – just say “I have a CAP with Thornapple Covenant Church” when you call to make an appointment) for you and your family and access to a virtual library of mental health resources (use the password “Thornapple” when prompted). Learn more HERE.

Stephen Ministry
Going through a crisis or having a difficult time? Maybe you could benefit from receiving care in a one-on-one partnership with a trained Stephen Minister. Contact Lynne McLaughlin

Benefit Mobile Fundraising for Children and Students
Did you know Thornapple participates in the Benefit Mobile fundraising program? It is an app you can use right on your phone and can be used at many places you already shop, like Target, Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon, etc… Funds raised can be used for retreats, trips, Portage Lake, etc… If you are interested in learning more or signing up, contact Linda Winer.

Making a Difference

  • Help with Family Promise Hosting | The week of March 13-20 Thornapple will be serving as a Host Church for Family Promises' Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN). We will need your help with meal prep and volunteering in the afternoons/evenings at church while the families are on site (serving meals, playing with kids, overnight hosts, general hospitality).   • Make Soup and/or Cookies | Bless our Senior Adults and sign up to bring 1 dozen cookies a pot of soup for their 2022 gatherings. Learn more and sign up HERE.
  • Blood Drive Volunteers AND Donors Needed | The need for blood is high, help make a difference at the blood drive at Cascade Fellowship (our neighbor church) on Jan. 24. Volunteer shifts are less than two hours and include: greeting and screening donors; serving post-donations snacks. Sign up here to help on Jan. 24 at Cascade Fellowship. Go here to make an appointment. Contact Beth Van Over with questions.
  • Degage Ministries Opportunities | (1) Make breakfast and dinner casserole donations. We're encouraging small groups to sign up to make casseroles (you can use Thornapple's kitchen - check with Kimberly Korpak for availability). Learn more and sign up to make and donate casseroles HERE.

    (2) Serve dinners the second Saturday of every month from 5:30-7:30pm. The food is provided by Degage and supervisors give direction. You don’t have to serve every month. If you would like to be added to the list of volunteers, contact Karen Knister.
     
  • Fully vaccinated and love hanging out with babies/toddlers? Children’s Ministry could use your help as a Nursery volunteer on Sunday mornings. Please contact Lisa Udell if you are able to help and she we get you on the schedule!

Your continued regular giving will fund Thornapple’s mission and ministry as planned in the months ahead. Thank you for your faithfulness!
