Making a Difference

  • Duffle Bags for Family Promise | We noticed that most of the families in the rotating shelter came without any luggage. The Love Mercy Do Justice Team will be collecting soft-sided, new or gently used duffle bags through the end of May to donate to Family Promise to give those they serve. Bags can be brought to the church office during the week or the Welcome Center on Sunday mornings. Suggested bags available for purchase HERE.
  • Blood Drive | Monday, May 23 at Cascade Fellowship - sign up to volunteer HERE or donate HERE.
  • Hearts for Sewing | Next two gatherings are Tuesday, May 24 and Tuesday, June 28 at Noon in the lower level. Sewers and non-sewers welcome! Learn more HERE.
  • Degage Ministries Opportunities | (1) Make breakfast and dinner casserole donations. We're encouraging small groups to sign up to make casseroles (you can use Thornapple's kitchen - check with Kimberly Korpak for availability). Learn more and sign up to make and donate casseroles HERE.
    (2) Serve dinners the second Saturday of every month from 5:30-7:30pm. The food is provided by Degage and supervisors give direction. You don’t have to serve every month. If you would like to be added to the list of volunteers, contact Karen Knister.
  • Fully vaccinated and love hanging out with babies/toddlers? Children’s Ministry could use your help as a Nursery volunteer on Sunday mornings. Please contact Lisa Udell if you are able to help and she we get you on the schedule!
